Decks take a beating from Pennsylvania winters. After 15 or 20 years, boards soften, railings loosen and the stairs get bouncy. Whether you’re replacing it or just want the old one gone, tearing out a deck means a heavy pile of lumber full of nails and screws.
Deck removal is part of our light demolition service. JUNKED. takes it apart, hauls the debris and cleans up, so your contractor can start the new deck or you can lay down a patio.

Where a deck connects to the house at the ledger board, we work carefully to avoid damaging siding. The siding or flashing behind the old ledger may be weathered and need repair once it’s exposed. That’s normal, and it’s worth planning for.
Pressure-treated lumber shouldn’t be burned, so don’t plan on the old boards as firewood. We load the boards, hardware and railings and haul it all away.
We handle deck removal in Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, Mt. Lebanon and North Strabane, plus every town in our service area, about 15 miles around Canonsburg.
