Hot Tub Removal Near Canonsburg & Pittsburgh

Old spas and hot tubs taken apart and hauled off your deck or patio. Call or text (412) 905-9453. We’re available 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm.

The Hot Tub Nobody Uses Anymore

Most hot tubs get 10 or 15 good years and then sit covered and empty, taking up the best spot on the patio. They weigh hundreds of pounds even when empty and almost never fit through a gate in one piece.

Hot tub removal falls under our light demolition work. JUNKED. takes the tub apart where it sits when needed, carries out the pieces and hauls the shell, frame and cover away. You get your deck or patio back.

What Hot Tub Removal Covers

A typical removal includes:

  • Above-ground hot tubs and portable spas
  • The cover, cover lifter and steps
  • Cutting the shell and cabinet into pieces when it won’t fit out whole
  • Hauling the pump, heater and other equipment
  • Picking up the debris and leaving the area swept

Swim spas and built-in spas set in concrete are a different job. Call or send photos and we’ll confirm.

What Needs to Happen First

Before removal day:

  • Shut the power off at the breaker. If the tub is hardwired, have an electrician disconnect it and cap the wires. We don’t do electrical work.
  • Drain the tub. A submersible pump empties it much faster than the built-in drain.
  • Remove any spa chemicals from the area. We can’t haul chlorine, bromine or other pool and spa chemicals.
  • Tell us about the route: gates, steps, deck height and how far it is to the driveway.

What's Inside a Hot Tub

Once it’s apart, a hot tub is a pile of mismatched parts: a motor, pump and heater, a wood or composite cabinet, an acrylic shell and a lot of foam. That’s why it rarely fits in a single trip to the curb, and why most trash services won’t touch it.

If the tub sat on pavers or a concrete pad, the pad stays. If you want it gone too, send photos and we’ll confirm whether we can take it out.

We handle hot tub removal in Upper St. Clair, Peters Township, South Fayette and Jefferson Hills, plus every town in our service area, about 15 miles around Canonsburg.

FAQs

Yes. Turn off the breaker, and if the tub is hardwired, have an electrician disconnect it. Once the power is safely off and the tub is drained, we handle the rest.

Often, yes. Most hot tubs are wider than a gate or side yard. Cutting it in place is safer than forcing it through and damaging your fence or siding.

Send photos of the deck, its height and the stairs. We’ll confirm whether we can do it and how we’d bring the pieces down. If the deck is going too, ask about deck removal.

Yes. The cover, steps, lifter arm and any leftover equipment go with the tub.

The pad stays as part of a standard removal. If you want it out, send photos showing its size and we’ll confirm whether that’s something we can do.
