Attic Cleanouts in the Canonsburg & Pittsburgh Area

Boxes, furniture and decades of storage brought down from the attic. Call or text (412) 905-9453. We’re available 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm.

The Attic Nobody Wants to Climb Into

Attics are hot in summer, cold in winter and usually reached by a pull-down ladder or a narrow staircase. That’s why things go up and rarely come back down. When it’s time to sell a house or settle an estate, the attic is often the last space anyone wants to tackle.

JUNKED. handles attic cleanouts from start to finish. We hand items down carefully, carry them out and haul them away.

What Comes Out of Attics

We remove:

  • Boxes of old papers, clothes and keepsakes you’ve already gone through
  • Holiday decorations and artificial trees
  • Old furniture, lamps and mirrors
  • Suitcases, trunks and luggage
  • Baby gear, cribs and toys
  • Old window fans and box fans
  • Loose boards and leftover building materials

We don’t remove insulation. If you see loose, pebbly gray-brown insulation (vermiculite), don’t disturb it. Older vermiculite can contain asbestos, and the EPA recommends leaving it alone and having it checked by a professional.

Before an Attic Cleanout

To make it smooth:

  • Go through anything with family papers, photos or documents first. We haul what you tell us to haul.
  • In summer, morning appointments are cooler. We work 7am to 7pm, so ask for an early slot.
  • Make sure the attic has a light or tell us it doesn’t.
  • Clear the hallway under the attic hatch or stairs.

Check the Boxes Before They Go

Attic boxes tend to hold the things families care about most: letters, photos, report cards and old documents. Look through them first, and set aside anything that could go to a relative or a donation center.

Items that are broken, damp or brittle from years of attic heat are what we’re here for. Ask when you call if you want to talk through options for the rest.

We handle attic cleanouts in Upper St. Clair, Bridgeville, Carnegie and Scott Township, plus every town in our service area, about 15 miles around Canonsburg.
